A letter to our guests regarding the Sylvan Lake Lodge fire.

The State Game Lodge Turns 100 in 2022

A stately residence celebrating a big day

The original State Game Lodge was built in 1920 (which was shortly thereafter lost to a fire, and then rebuilt again in 1922) and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It served as the “Summer White House” for President Calvin Coolidge in 1927 and was visited by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1953.

Join us all year long at the State Game Lodge & Restaurant for feature items, including Lost Cabin's Dakota Common on tap with a take-home glass for purchase, a Centennial feature dessert, and other specialty menu items. Custom 100th Anniversary logo apparel & gifts, available for purchase from the State Game Lodge gift shop year-round.

To help celebrate, we are hosting an Open House weekend event! We will be serving cake at the Pavilion on the afternoon of Friday, May 20th. Watch for final details in the Open House Weekend flyer.
