Winter Wildlife Experience
Mild weather perfect for a campfire, more active wildlife, and 71,000 acres nearly to yourself...winters in Custer State Park are no longer our best-kept secret.
Warm Chinook winds keep winter temperatures fairly mild—especially compared to our northern and eastern neighbors. Although snow may fall in October, it often doesn’t accumulate and tends to melt the next day. Especially in November/December, we can still reach as high as 60 degrees. But when the snow does fall more after the first of the year...it is gorgeous.
Stay in our oversized Creekside Lodge Jr Suites for $149/night during the winter months and bring a spirit ready to be rejuvenated. Complimentary Grab-n-Go Breakfast included, by request from the Desk.
